I have just purchased platform beds for all the bedrooms in my home and I'm not sure what type of bedding to buy. I don't want the comforter, quilt, whatever to hang over the platform of the bed as the platform extends past the mattress and is really what I love most about the new beds.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

i just got a new matress and all new bedding, I'm not allergic to anything, but i think dust mites are gross and i want to keep them to a minimum. my bedding is red and black and i used to keep my bed really dirty and literally never cleaned it. How often should i clean it to avoid dust mites and dirt but still keep it colorful?

I'm going to get a guinea pig but I've heard they naturally stink. Like even if you clean their cage once a week, they reek.
But I asked a few people and they said it depends on what type of bedding you use and recommended not use cedar because it holds odor.
She said to use something called simple green bedding but I cannot find that.
What do you recommend?

I am planning to upgrade the bedding in my entire house and decided to go for the best this time. Is Egyptian cotton the best and softest of all? I am going for separate sheets, covers, comfortors etc., as opposed to "bed-in-a-bag with pretty designs" which I had previously, so that I can select higher threadcounts...what threadcounts are considered the best in Egyptian cotton?
Lastly what are some good places to get these from?
